Team or group mediation in business mediation or other field of competences

Effective and well-structured mediation is even more important within teams or groups in order to preserve the common thread between all individuals. Different visualization methods are therefore used to let the team or group express itself and find effective creative solutions while also taking into account the feelings and interests of both the individuals and the team or group. Mediation provides an opportunity to restore respect between the parties, to identity and adjust potential bias and preconceptions and to reach a positive, appropriate and sustainable outcome.

Different types of disputes can appear within a team or group such as the “all-against-one” situation, which can result in workplace bullying if not resolved.  Other disputes can emerge from divisions within alliances or clique-forming, the abuse of ones person’s authority or power or antagonism in inter-group working situations etc. These kinds of disputes are stressful for team members. The team can loses its focus and become inefficient and dysfunctional.  Mediation offers an environment and a framework where everyone can participate equally. The mediation process can also highlight problems before they occur saving time, money and resources.
